What is the best training for becoming a hirable quality control inspector? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective quality control inspector? What do non-traditional career paths look like? |

I was a Quality Inspector for Lear Corp. G.M. division for 5 years. Recently I relocated to the AZ. area, and the requirements are different than Michigan. I need to update my skills for the jobs in my field in AZ. |

It depends on the type of QC job your want to pursue. Auto, Areo, Petro-chemical or other manufacturing. I began with NDT (non-destructive testing) in refineries & chemical plants. Then I took classes for Weld Inspection Technology at the local Jr er. With 20 years experience I work various jobs relate with oil & gas. Industry is booming now and expected to for 8 to 12 years by some estimates. Good luck. |
