Radiation Therapist in Florida

I am a therapist with 3 years of experience and have been out of work since 2010 due to the tight job market in RTT. I have excellent experience and many references to show for my work. At this point if I have to work for nothing a couple days a week for 6 mos to a year I am willing to do so in order to get my foot in the door somewhere with hopes of when an opening does arise it would be easy to move into a paying position. At this point I just want to do something in the field to show I have current experience on my resume.

I have seen other Therapists on other websites suggest working as a volunteer, but am unsure if any facilities would be willing to do so or if Im going to be told its a liability issue. I have tried contacting some facilities but the Oncology Managers dont bother returning phone calls.

Any answers would be helpful from anyone who would know.

Thanks!
