Would anyone be willing to say how much they were making when they started working as a RT and how much they are making now and how long it has taken to reach this point? I would also like to know besides doing rad therapy at a hospital or cancer center what other jobs can a RT do...such as maybe working in ophthalmology?

The starting pay is dependent upon the area and the site. You can make anywhere from $20-$30+/hr as a new grad. typically, ophthalmologists refer their cancer patients to oncologists for treatment of that diagnosis.

I'm very interested in the nvcc/vwcc radiation therapy program 2015. But very scared of the posts on this forum with the job market. Please if you don't mind me asking it's the same for the Northern Virginia? What school did you attend and how tough was it to land a job? I'll really appreciate your insight on this issue. As I have been told getting into the program is no easy task. Thank you.
