Hi my name is Aisha and I start my RT program in the Spring and I was wondering how accurate is the salary wizard. What is the average rate for someone who lives in Chicago? |

Another good source for regional wage data is www.salaryexpert.com. It is usually good to have multiple sources. |

Get some local experiance, then find a town someplace in USA that is in dire need of RT's. If had a friend with 1 year experiance do just this, and went to one job making $50,000 and the next job he is making $60k plus, some places may even treat you like a king or queen, becuase they may not have a school near by or whatever. some idiots just think the health field is just caring, If we cared that badly, we all would just volunteer, and some of us have to put

I work in Home health (Cpap's and Bipap's primarily) I make 25.00 hr and I get a vehicle reimbursement of 400.00 per month. My Gas is paid for in full and my personal health insurance is paid for in full. I have heard that in the states north of Florida that the salary is almost double but the cost of living is also. Great field to go into. If you stay away from the hospitals, life is great. You can move into marketing, director of respiratory and branch manager. Life is good! |

I think the only way anyone could be a branch manager of a home health care is to have a 4 year degree, years of managment exp, and be a exp pharmacist, as home health would involve drugs, a/r, insurance of all forms, collections, and home infusion would include all the above plus IV theapy which clearly a pharmacist would be required. People say CA is a lot more expensive, truth is, if you look around, you can always find something reasonable priced. if you make double,

Nah. Rent around here is $800-$1000 for a 2bd/2bth apartment with garage. A house is $1100-$1400 a month. New house too! |

norm - why so hard on her?- Maybe you should speak with someone about your need to be a bully. Obviously your harshness shows that you are not compasionate enough to be in healthcare yourself. |
