I graduated with an Associate of RT in 2006. But, just pass my CRT test January,09.The reason why it took me so long to take my CRT is Because I had a baby right after graduation and wanted to care for him. I'm taking my RRT this coming week. I seem to have such a difficult time finding a CRT job here in San Diego. Please! advise, I'm desperate for employment anywhere. I'm a caring, compassionate and hard working employee. Please, Please forward any job opening available. Thank You and God Bless!

get your RRT because most hospitals will hire only rrt's (due to the increase in new grads in San Diego) there are a few that hospitals that still hire crt's try Palomar/Pomerado or scripps chula vista good luck

Respiratory therapy ... why did i pick this field? I should have stayed with my original plan and stuck it out with nursing. No jobs for new grad RT's. 20k in debt. Not even the military will take you, only if you have 2 years of experience, or still in school while attending the program. New Grads, unless you know someone in the department, you will not get hired. If your still in school, get out and take your losses while they are still minimal.

Hey friend, I have tried these places. I have also walked in and spoken with the managers. Truth is, they have stacks of applications and with so many RT schools producing RT's, You will most likely not find a job if your already searching for one here.

I have news that Palomar Hospital is hiring five RT's in sept.. They are per diem, but hey it's a start. Those five rt's that are leaving found fulltime positions in san diego so there are going to be vacancies at Palomar...
