hey, i am in highschool and i am/was really interested in becoming a RT. in your opinion, if i did take the program, would i be able to get a job? or would all the private schools take all of them? and if they would, which private school would be best? (that hopefully wouldnt put me in the poor house before i graduate...) |

The market is way oversaturated due to the Private Schools. If you know somebody who runs a department or something like that you might be lucky and land a job. Or if you work in a hospital already you can try and transfer in, but I have heard even that is becoming impossible. If you're just trying to take the conventional route in. Then no, sorry. There is a very very large chance that you will end up wasting two years education, end up racking up a big student loan that you will not be able to pay back. End up working where you are now. The entire medical field is glutted, over saturated. |

The therapists that say the field is good, and have 3 jobs are ones that have hook-ups or twenty years experience. It's easy for them to get work, but not for 99% of the not so experienced RT. Sad, but true |

Does it really matter what school you went to? Haha! We all get the same books it just depends on how serious you take it so quit hating on private schools and glorifying big colleges... Its all the same! Standards are set and have to be met by both private and regular college! |
