I have been a CRT for 23 years. I was always registry eligible but never bothered taking the RRT because I was always planning on leaving the field. Also in my hospitals it never paid more or mattered in regard to where you were allowed to work.

Anyhoo, I decided that teaching respiratory might be a good change so I am currently using the Lindsey Jones Program to prepare for the RRT. I need to report it is the most poorly written piece of crap I have ever come across.

Every page has misspellings or typos, things are simply not clear, and they do not line up with the things he verbally says on the CD. Now I am a great student. I have an AS, a BA and and MA all with HIGH honors. I can tell when someone makes a blunder or organization is poor.

My impression is that a 5 year old can slap together a better review system. It is so distracting finding these grammatical mistakes on each page and wondering what they meant by something because they neglected to put in a key word.

I cannot speak about Kettering but I hope it is better. Mr Stanley needs to fire his editor cuz they taint editing!!!!!!

Ordering old training books that don't address this may be a problem. MINE is 2010. All Lindsey Jones talks about is the importance of ventilation . HOWEVER CPR guilde-lines talk of the importance of CIRCULATION over ventilation.

It is indeed going to be a scary test.

Sir, I just had a very discouraging discussion with a representative at Lindsey Jones. I searched the Internet for some resolution as the only contact information I have found was for general customer service. You mentioned that you help develop the LJ software. I have now failed the Clinical Simulations for the RRT three times. I have studied and studied and reviewed individually/in groups and still I am not passing. I asked for a refund and was given the run-around and apologies and was treated rudely, even being told it might be my study habits or my school. I understand you made the comment I'm referring to over a year ago but I'd really appreciate some help from someone who can give me more answers. I am studying w LJ now. I am doing a voluntary retake. Been practicing 24 years and I also have a Masters degree in another field. I find one typo per page in this book and some concepts are completely written wrong! No one took the time to edit the book.

Who wants a book that says higher when it MEANS lower and puts the word "there" instead of their". My god this is supposed to be a professional text! The grammar is incorrect on every page as well. The writer is an insult to all RT'S. Also the verbal doscs differ from the book.

What an unprofessional piece of slop-And no I do not work for Kettering. Back in the day we just took the tests-no refresher required. I will not "LIKE" Lindsey if I pass. I will pass cause I looked all over the internet for stuff and read my Egan.

Sorry you failed. As a teacher I do know that because some of my students get As I am doing my job correctly. That means I am getting through. Others here report great satisfaction with these review texts and software. So despite the crappy grammar (see above rant) LD does work for them. I do not think you are entitled to a refund. I think it is your study habits and you need to face the music.

I cannot believe you. YOU fail 3 times and blame everyone around you? AND you blast my kind and truthful answer??? If you truly are an educator and truly have one real degree (which I doubt) you know the issue is your study habits. THEIRS a FACT FOR YOU!!!! YOU FAILED! DEAL W IT! And you are not entitled to a refund in any way unless they promise one for people that FAIL 3 times.

Just because I said the truth of what I think AGREEING with the LJ people you don't have to be a jerk. Doing the same thing over and over will only result in more failure and more lost revenue for you. So go ahead try again.

The test is supposed to be hard and you coming on here and thinking someone can hand you the holy grail on passing is ridiculous. If LD did not work for you then try Kettering or CHANGE your approach or just give up. That is all everyone else is going to say.

Heck maybe you are not ever going to pass. Maybe I won't pass my retake. But nothing is more unprofessional than your whining and finger pointing at those around you when no one else failed but YOU!!!

PS U r just jealous cuz I am Snow Ninja and in Florida they have no snow. lol :P
