Let me know if you are looking and I'll help you find a great full time RT career. Plus if you recommend a friend that I place in a RT position, I'll also give you an extra $1,000!

I am a CRT seeking to work in the USA but the biggest problem is getting through the immigration as it takes so long and that any hospital would have to advertise the job for 6 mths locally and nationally before escepting an international application do you have any advice or can you assist in any way.

Regards

Ron,

I do apologize as I do not have any current openings that would help your particular situation. Because time is of the essence in my work and hospitals do need their positions filled in a timely manner; I have not had much luck with international candidates…my only recommendation is to keep hope as there are hospitals that are desperate for RTs and would welcome an international candidate, it just takes time and patience…keep on calling the hospitals!

Dear Sean,

My name is Mila. I have graduated from Corinthian College in October of last year and since then have become a RRT.

Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in finding a job as a respiratory therapist because most hospitals in and around Atlanta require at least two years of experience.

I was wondering if you still have that position.

I believe that my clinical experience last 450 hours which equal 1.5 years provided me with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the responsibilities and duties of a Respiratory Therapist.

My e-mail is mila7750@yahoo.com.

I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions you can offer.
Thank you very much for your consideration.

Best regards,

Mila

Are you able to help securing a position for a respiratory student? I have about 4-6 months left until I have all my classes finished as set for the broads. I have current limited permit, but would love to have a full time job in the field I am studing. I do have a 1 year and 2 months in as a PRN at my local hospital, but they have no full time positions. My email is mel_727@yahoo.com.

Try GET Respiratory jobs .com, or a Jacob Peebles:::Indeed::Try a Traveling assignment agency::I also have been @ an impasse, but @ the other "end of the tail"{as I have a lot of experience.}:Figure you(and I)have ~ 8 weeks to get a "position", or, it will be in September, Perhaps the economy will need to re-start before hiring
picks up again. Don't get discouraged, keep creatively, persuin your goal.If the internet doesn't do it for you:Try face-to-face
I would go to Grady 1st. I saw an opening on a site I just gave you.Do you have LTECH's?Try PFT labs, and get yourself a back-up::
Try a Sleep lab;;You are still an open book, since you have not startrd yet, so, an employer may favor you, as you cuold be trained "their way".
Professionally,

Sounds like sean is full of it, he's probably a recruiter from a staffing agency or with one of the vocational schools. I don't know what planet this guys from, but if he's stating there are hospitals that are "desperate" for RT's, he needs to put down the pipe.

Right now, the market is so saturated, hospitals are anything but desperate for RT's. The hospital where I'm currently working allows students for clinical rotations, and why not? The hospital gets compensated by the crappy school, then in turn, will not hire the new grad because the talent pool of unemployed experienced therapists is so huge.

The schools are flat out lieing about the abundance of positions that will be available. The saturation proces already started to become noticeable by mid 2007.

I am currently working at Northside Hospital in Forsyth. On 400 North of alpharetta. We are always hiring PRN for the night shift. That is how I got started after moving here from new mexico fresh out of school. all our full time therapists are hired from the PRN pool. Within 6 months I had been given a full time nights position, I will be moved to full time days first of the year. You just have to be able and willing to work the crap shifts in the out of the way places until you get your experience to get in the door.
