The very main job of a bus driver is to assure a child is safe and not contribute to dangerous conditions which might hurt or kill a child - such letting a child off at the wrong stop or at a busy intersection.

Properly Adjust Seats
Check Parking/Service Brakes/Transmission/Hazard Lights/Emergency Beeper.
Rock & Roll while driving around blind spots and when on a street or highway
Make sure emergency equipment is up to standards
Speed Control 100ft before drop off/pick-up
Five Second Roll after drop offs/pickups
