California Guard Card Trainnig Center in Cypress, California

The Center offers the lowest price anywhere in the state. Right now they have a special $24.98 for State Certified Guard Card Training in person. Check out their site: www.nsetc.com not only are the a top notch security company but they also offer bodyguard positions under their PI license which allows them to provide personal protection.
I highly recommend the National Security Enforcement Training Center you can visit their website from anywhere (www.nsetc.com) They are the fastest way to get your guard card. I got approved in 4 days. They are always willing to talk and help you in person, over the phone or via email. You can even send them a text message and get a response. They are the most helpful, affordable, smartest training method. I recommend anyone seeking a career in Security to look them up www.nsetc.com

If you have questions you can email them at: ss@NSETC.COM

Thank you; for contacting us regarding Security Guard training, please check our monthly specials (firearms-training.info/guardclassstatefees.html) and the location close to you, the time and days are listed for each facility www.California-Security-Guard.com . No appointment need, come in on the day and time listed on the website for the facility close to you..

- Please look at our website for a facility close to you; we have the day/times listed.
- We have qualified instructors (BSIS - BPPVE - NRA)
- We have firearms courses that can help you obtain a firearms permit.
- We have Job-Opportunity Info for those who want to work after having a valid license.

For the Guard Card, the BSIS (Bureau of Security and Investigative Services) requires people to have 40-hrs training to assure the quality performance while they are on posts. However, in order to apply for a Guard Card:
- You need to complete the first 8 hrs (of 40 hrs) ($50.00). It also depends on how fast you read the book. Average people finished within 5-6 hrs. In this course we summarize 8 hours for you, so when you receive a guard card, you know how to perform your job better.
- You will do the Live Scan (service fee $10-$22) and submit $51.00 to the scan operator for the FBI and DOJ for your background check.
- Send $50.00 license fee to the BSIS so they can issue the license directly to the address you provide.

If you plan to have a Firearm permit ($80.00 + Ammunition $30.00 - $35.00), you should do at the same time with the 8-hrs Power-to-Arrest, because you pay only one Live Scan for both applications. For the Firearm permit, you need to add $80.00 license fee together with the applications.

In short, the total costs:
- For the Guard Card only: 8-hrs Power-to-Arrest ($50) + Live Scan ($51 & Service fee $17) + License fee ($50) à approximately $180.00
- For the Guard Card and Firearms: 8-hrs Power-to-Arrest ($60) + Live Scan ($51 + $38 Fir

I would definitely check out the BSIS site for more information, because that's where you'd download your application for both the registration card and fingerprinting anyways:

It takes more than just the applications for the guard card, the class is a must!! Maybe Pete might want to give you his TIFF number then you can skip the class. Pete please engage your brain before you give an answer.

I have a guard card and weapons permit that recently expired. My long term, in-house position was outsourced and I didn't believe that I would be returning to the profession. I'm back and I need to get set up ASAP again. My Card expired 3 Months ago, and I do believe that I need to go through the entire process again? Just the Guard Card this time is fine by me. Can I keep my old number, or will BSIS just do that automatically?

Guard Card Now in Los Angeles, California

Yes, unfortunately, you have to go through the entire process again. You may do this on line at GuardCardNow.com. Re your number, when your application is processed, you will have to list your guard number. BSIS will issue you a new card with the same number.

There are a few State licensed places you can train at within a few miles from the Long Beach. The National Security Security Enforcement Training Center (NSETC) is probably the closest and most affordable. We are located one city over in Cypress located East of the 605 freeway on the opposite side of the Long Beach Town Center. Our address is 5252 Orange Ave, Suite 201a, Cypress, CA 90630 www.nsetc.com NSETC offers the courses daily, Monday through Friday starting at 10am. Lets us know your Ozzie Morrow from this add and we'll give you 10% off plus a free chemical agents course and permit. You can also review the previous posting above from other licensed training facilities. It doesn't matter where you train as long as the school is BSIS State licensed because we have the same exact material the only difference is the price and teaching method. I my opinion I think all licensed security schools are great and hopefully you'll find the right one for you. Best of luck in the future as a licensed/registered Security Officer. Also if you have any questions give me a call or email us at help@myguardcard.com you can also check out our website which provides Q&A videos, contact information and other helpful pages www.myguardcard.com
