Social work schools such as NYU and Yeshiva are known for their clinical focus. Other east coast schools such as Columbia, Hunter, Fordham, Simmons, Smith etc provide this as one area within social work that you may select from.
In addition, schools (such as NYU) offer you the opportunity to combine this major with a law degree or Public Health. This can enhance your opportunities and
income once you graduate.
You may want to think about where you choose to get
your education. Should you select California you will have
to be prepared to take in-depth clinical exams to be licensed in that state. California appears to offer many job opportunities at this time. If you don't remember anything I say-learn a second language-it will widen your opportunities to find a clinical positon.
