I am thinking of applying to the University of Toronto or Carleton University MSW programs. I have 5 years of experience working in the child protective services in the USA. How difficult will it be to attain employment in Ontario? Will it be difficult getting into the MSW program as an international student?

hi there, this post is a little old, but I am doing my msw at one of the universities you mentioned. It shouldn't be too bad to find child protection work. We don't have licensing up here for CP posts, and you can get in with a BSW, too. In the cities it is quite competitive and Ottawa is bilingual french and english, so I would do Toronto over Ottawa.
