Does anybody have any experience/know anything about being a social worker in different countries? I am currently working an a double bachelors in Child Psychology and Middle Eastern Studies and plan to get an MSW. I want to become a child psychologist/counselor for children living in areas of conflict, specifically in the Middle East and North Africa. Can you use an MSW abroad? Is social work a rewarding job?

Hello, Working abroad is a fabulous experience for me. I worked in Okinawa, Japan for 2 years. I love the island. I was a New Parent Support Program staff member. I provided education & support to new parents. I was able to travel often to Tokyo, which is my favorite city on the planet. I am now getting ready to apply for jobs in both Japan as well as Germany, where I worked at Ramstein Air Base and travelled to Holland, Italy, & France, &luxembourg. I highly recommend it if you can make friends to travel with.
Best wishes, Linda
