I am a computer science Ph.D. in database and image processing field. I had been a faculty in a teaching school for 7-8 years. But now I plan to try my opportunities in industry. I never worked in industry before, so I need to some suggestion about my career direction. Anyone who could drop me a reply would be appreciated.
I hope to work in a field where requires data mining, or data analysis work and field expertise based on math or statistics rather than getting know new software tools and architectures. I have a good foundation on math and algorithms, but I do not think I am very good at getting used to new features of evolving tools quickly. Though I can get used to a new tool sooner or later. Can anybody give a suggestion about it?
