So I currently got a job offer to work in the Gainesville area at a college campus as a programmer. The job offer is a contracted job and has no benefits or paid time off. Now, I want to know if it would be worth it to me to accept this job even though the salary is extremely low compared to others in the area. The base rate was stated as 17/hour when I submitted my resume online. I've yet to negotiate or be asked about what I am willing to work for and figured I'd ask here to see what you guys think I should ask for, and/or if I should continue interviewing at more places to get a better paying job. For some info: I just graduated with a BS in CS, I have excellent grades, but no experience save for school projects. So with these qualifications, do you think 17/hour is an expectable wage?

(For some reference, I checked out salary.com and found that it predicts that the distribution ranges from 34,445 (the lower 10%) to 55,740 (the upper 90%) with 44,015 squarely in the middle)

Oh, and 17/hour works out to about 35360 if you consider 2080 hours a year.
