I'm very interested in a per-diem job at a local hospital as a surgical technician, and I was hoping someone would have some information I need.
Does anyone know how I would go about taking the North Carolina or national exam for certification? Or will I need to still attend a 2 year school before testing? What are the requirements to get back into this profession?
I was a surgical technician in the Army for 6 years, with a wide array of experience in about every aspect of surgical procedures(OB,EENT,Ortho,General,Central services, etc) I trained in Fort Sam Houston academy of health sciences. I've been out of the field for about 10 years, since 1998, but I'm thinking of getting back into it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me at wlpd206@yahoo.com if you have any info.
