Any Southern California surg techs out there? What school did you go to? I'm specifically looking for schools in the L.A to San Bernardino area. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Also, how did your school prepare you for being in actual surgery? Thank you! |

The best you can do is an Associate of Applied Science degree for Surg Technology, so go to your local Community College and make sure the program is accredited. You can check the AST website if you need more help. If you have a local hospital that is very reputable and offers a program, it is more likely a certificate program which is great if you don't want to go further in your career someday with getting a Bachelor Degree. |

Does anyone know if Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia,CA. offers a surgical tech certificate program? Even Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, CA.? If any hospital local to me offers one, chances are they will want to employ you at their hospital after you're finished? |
