I created this website so that educators (and students) can aggregate teh best educational videos out there and share them with others in a democratic way. As a teacher myself, I know how hard it is to find good educational videos on websites like Youtube, Veoh, Metacafe, DailyMotion, etc. There ARE TONS of good videos on those websites, but they tend to be drowned out by "junk". Many times you produce a great video but don't want to have to put up with UPLOADING it again to otehr websites after you upload it to Youtube. ClassFlicks allows you to reach more educators and students with the SAME video without having to upload it again. Just EMBED the video with the "embed code" from Youtube (and others, check the list od supported providers on our website's FAQ at classflicks.com/faq-en.php. Your post will be saved in the "UPCOMING VIDEOS" area until it gets 5 votes from other users. Then it is published on the "PUBLISHED VIDEOS" area. If you don't like a video just don't vote for it, if you think it is innapropriate just "BURY" it. ClassFlicks is pretty much like a Digg.com for educational videos. Just create your username and password and start posting/voting for interesting EDUCATIONAL videos. Please spread teh word about the website. It is only a week old, that's why we still don't have many users there. However, our goal is to create the most active video aggregator on the Web. With your help, of course. Somebody asked me the other day if Teachertube.com videos could be embeded and voted on ClassFlicks[/URL]. It is possible. TeacherTube is also another great tool for educators. I'll see you on ClassFlicks, hopefully soon. :) Just visit www.classflicks.com |
