How did you get your start doing technical trainer work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? Do you need a particular educational background? |

Education background is very helpful and might help on the resume, but not required. If you do or do not, for the 'first step', I would recommend getting a generic technical training certification such as CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer. CTT will be a good building block. www.comptia.org Learn as much as you can about as much as you can in the computer industry. Hardware, software, networking, programming, it does not matter. Whatever interests you the most in IT, learn about it so you have more subject matter to teach. I personally had customer service and soft skills training experience before I got into IT training. Everyone's path is a litte different, but I'd start with CTT. |
