I have read most of the forums and want to thank everyone for sharing what they know so candidly. I really don't appreciate the way some companies treat there drivers.

I have an opportunity to purchase a large tow truck operation with about 20 trucks. Same owners for 25 years are retiring and there isn't a lot of local competition.

I have a strong business background, and a good financial situation but I have never worked in the towing business.

What should I be concerned about when evaluating this company?

Fleet is a mix of younger and older trucks, big and small situated on a busy highway. Has many long standing contracts. Numbers at first glance look good.
