I would like to get the screener position that were opened at the Greer, SC International Airport. Is the economy discouraging the TSA from hiring in our state?

I'm working in a reputed Airlines company as a security Staff for 1 year. I'm a qualified screener, also did my basic aviation security by BCAS and Dangerous Goods Regulations, Ramp Safety, Security System tools. Is it possible for me get into some intl airlines or shiping for more salary.
