Online Bookings have gone up to over 80% Barry Diller is a happy man Expedia was one of the first to offer flight ticket from your computer. I can remember my first Eticket I actually thought we had just lost our money. So we got to the airport a bit late the lines were long and finally we saw a sign with no line it said Etickets here we checked our bags and I took a quick look at all the people who did not have a computer and said wow... it works. Well it will keep working, it even got the attention of Gotrump and Magic Johnson and can you blame them, they want a piece of this huge pie we all know as Travel. Due to the high demand of online bookings many small Travel Companies could not survive, many who do not change will continue to fail. They need to find away to get on the internet and join this global market place before it is too late. So how can anyone expand their small Travel Store? Well they could open more stores, hire more workers, but the cost, the headaches, the time. But what if there was away if there was an option to expanding a small Travel Store so that it could reach a global market. They could get on the internet, but everyone is already on the internet, Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz. How could a small Travel Company survive? What if they opened up more companies then any other Travel company on the internet? Could this work, would people be willing to work for themselves? in a job they were already doing from home? Well the answer was YES... So these small companies joined forces with people booking travel not making commissions, because Travel Stores they booked through did not pay commissions to people who were not TAs. Did this work? Yes it did and it is a win win for both sides the small travel stores and the person booking travel from home. I was one of them, now I book travel in a Global Market Place, I expand my home business and leveraged my time all because of Travel and the Internet. |
