I love booking my own travel and for my friends, I would love to become a travel agent and work from home part time, mainly for myself and family and friends. I live in Oregon and the only travel classes they offer is through the community college and they require you to take math, physcology, etc. I don't want to take all that for just something I want to do part time. Which online classes would you recommend. Penn Foster keeps coming up on my searches, is this a good one to go with?

My wife and I started our own online travel business and went through a host agency. Starting a travel agency is not very cost effective unless plan of selling millions or you go through a host agency. Instead of spending $10K or $20K to get started on your own, we spend $500 going through a host agency. It was a major deciding factor for us. An excellent source for finding a legitimate host travel agency is to check out Direct Selling Association (DSA) at www.dsa.org. DSA is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. The company that I work through is publicly traded, SEC regulated, has a $6,000 guarantee, and even offers health insurance. This company offers an unlimited supply of training opportunities as well. They funny thing is that once you get into the travel industry, you can get lots of traing from the industry, like Disney, Los Vegas, or CLIA (cruise line). We love this business! |

It was a major deciding factor for us.Please do your due diligence and be extremely careful which company you choose. Most charge a very high fee and they make promises but do not tell you the true facts and it is not easy to duplicate. When a company charges a high entrance fee it only means that 85% of that money only goes to 3% of the people, making the top leaders wealthy. BEWARE PLEASE..lots of scams out there as when I did my research and found the GREATEST TRAVEL COMPANY on the planet with a VERY affordable entrance fee and we do not guaranty what you can earn because it is impossible based on the fact of how much effort you put in. Be very careful of those that promise or guaranty you of how much you can make. ALSO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ANY COMPANY PUBLICLY TRADED, IT SIMPLY MEANS THAT THEY NEED MONEY. DUE YOUR RESEARCH. GO CHECK OUT MLMWATCHDOG.COM AND WWW.YTBEXPOSED.COM IT IS A LEARNING PROCESS BeWARE. |

We have a $50,000 written guaranty if you can find a better company and a better compensation plan and no one in over a year has claimed it. We offer on going training, tools, everything you need to be successful. The Direct Selling Association will tell you the AVERAGE person only brings in to any company 2.3 people. We are the only company that offers a CTA position Certified Travel Agent. We have 4 deaf people and 3 blind people dong very well and we reach out to able the disabled also. Working from home gives you HUGE tax advantages you do not get in a job. Three trends you need to consider 1. Travel and Tourism 2. The Internet 3. Home based business boom. Every 6 seconds someone gets involved in a home based business that is 14 thousand per day. In the next five years it is predicted by Robert Kiewaski a well known author and business millionaire 1 in every 2 households will have a home based business. The average person spends 20 thousand hours sitting in traffic, that is almost three years. Secure your future not someone else's. Travel the most searched word on the world wide web, 85% booked on the Internet. Travel increases 23% faster than the global economy.

Cathy, If you are looking for a good place to start, my suggestion would be TraVerus Travel. It is less than a $100 to get started and to be certified its a one time fee of $100. for the training. TraVerus offers continued free ongoing training and support and being that the industry changes without notice, its definitely a help to always be informed and not have to leave out of the home to get the info that you need. About me: TraVerus has truly changed my life, it has allowed me to achieve true financial freedom and the ability to not have to go out side of my home to work anymore. I spend more time with my family and I can travel whenever I want. I have never been able to do that. So it feels good. My entire family is in this business now and my friends and everyone of them is making money. The most beautiful thing is now I have new extended family with TraVerus all across the country and we continuously work together to help one another reach our goals. TraVerus Travel is definitely the way to go! Blessings,

Attention Everyone...I strongly urge you to STAY AWAY from ANY COMPANY PUBLICLY TRADED. ALL THE EXPERTS IN THE FIELD WILL TELL YOU THIS..WONDERING WHY? BECAUSE IT TAKES OVER THE COMPANY AND ASK YOURSELF WHAT ARE YOU LEFT WITH? THOSE AT THE TOP ALL SAY THE SAME THING..STAY AWAY FROM COMPANIES THAT ARE PUBLICLY TRADED. THE ONLY ONES BUY THE STOCK ARE THE PEOPLE IN THAT COMPANY. IF MY COMPANY GOES PUBLIC I WILL LEAVE THE COMPANY BUT I'VE BEEN ASSURED IT WILL NEVER GO PUBLIC..I'M RELIEVED FOR THAT.
