I had a lane change accident with a person who had no drivers license and I received no tickett because of that fact. Would the company be correct for charging me with a preventable accident, when the police and the state of Illinois did not hold me responsible for the collision that resulted in the lane change attempt? If I have been wrongly held accountable for the accident by my company is hiring an attorney the only way to get them to remove the information from my DAC Report, or should it stay there? NEED KNOWLEDGEABLE INFORMATION,BUT HURRY,THANKS. |

If you hit someone while changing lanes that IS a preventable accident. You are the professional and should have been aware of the possibility of the other vehicle.I have had similar situations(close calls only)and I cuss them out,BUT I'm the one that tried to change lanes.Every safety person I've talked to say every accident is preventable.LOL.Sorry I have NO legal knowledge. |
