I'm 28 and looking to start driving. I need a company paid CDL training because my credit is shot and I can't get a loan for the schooling. I have never had an accident and no moving violations in the past 5 years, but I had a physical control conviction 2 years ago (I was sleeping in my car intoxicated) and a disorderly conduct/intoxicated charge a year ago (I was standing on the sidewalk in front of my brother's house holding a beer). This seems to be a big problem for the companies I have talked to who pay for CDL training. Is there any who will still accept me or am I wasting my time? Thanks for any advice guys! Steve |
