Hey I am new student at Mountain State University, I am currently in the Pre-Dms program and I have only about 2 semesters of pre-reqs to go. How is everyone doing? Anyone in clinicals yet? Feel free to email me for online study group!

They are going great so far, I am about half way through this mini semester. I would like to participate in the online study group as well. There hasnt been a formal gathering of students for it yet, so anyone who is interested should post something soon so we can get an email group going.
Do you know what classes you are going to take yet?

shannon I would be starting with the math, english comp II,principals of psychology, and one elective. that will start me off and I will go from there. Did it take you long to get your books? I've done online classes before and I loved it so I'm looking forward to getting started.

The classes sound fun, are you taking basic math or college algebra next term? Luckily, I finished most of my psych classes and humanities with my Associate Degree, so I only have the Algebra, Med Term, and A&P to worry about. It didnt take long to get my books, have you ordered yet? If you are using finanical aid to pay for them, the bookstore will wait until you are officialy registered, you dont have to wait for your award letter, the book amount will just apply to your account. Once you get officially registered, the books will be sent asap. I would like to tell you that the bookstore prices are crazy expensive, even for used books. Although it is nice to use fin aid for books, if you can afford it, I would google the textbooks and see if you cant pay a better price online. I paid 130.00 for my used algebra book, I found it online for 33.00.

Just a suggestion! I love the online format too, it works great for me. I was so excited to get started prior to this term. I counted down each day, I know exactly how you feel!

Shannon I believe I will be taking college algebra, I've already done the basic math in another college that I had attented. I also completed developmental psych as well so I guess I'm gonna have to take the principals of psych. I work full time at a hospital so when the time comes I will submit there name for one of my clinical contacts. And thanks for the information I will go on google to try to get my books before using the financial aid. But if I don't have the money on hand I will have no choice but to use the aid. How is Richland Hills, Texas?

Have you taken an intermediate algebra course? While its not required, if you havent, you might have to take Intermediate Algebra before they enroll you in College, thats what Im doing right now. The intermediate algebra works out of the same college algebra book (so you dont have to buy 2 books) and it is only the first few chapters, the college algebra course is the rest of the book. There is also a student solutions manual for the book that works out all the odd problems step by step, definatly worth the money (28.00 online used) and it has helped me so much with this course. Plus it can also be used for college algebra. Hopefully you wont have to take the intermediate algebra, but Im glad they registered me for it because I think it will help me in College algebra.
If you dont have to take intermediate let me know, we will probably be in the same college algebra class next term. Thats great you work at a hospital already, may I ask what you do there? Thats a great asset to have when it comes time for clinicals. . And trust me, I know all about not having the extra cash for books online, I had to use fin aid for this terms books. Just wanted you to know that if you did have a few extra bucks you could save a few, but I absolutly understand!
I like where I live, we just bought a house and we are loving it! I lived in upstate New York for about a year and I loved that, its so beautiful up there!
