When the question mentions the image obtained in longitudinal scan, automatically fetal position going to be either a tranverse maternal right or transverse maternal left. If the image obtained is tranverse, its either cephalic or breech. Dont focus on the mom. Focus on the baby. Literally try to be the baby and position yourself. Its tough at first but you'll eventually get it |

Parmis in Albany, New York said: HI, Look at the stomach and the liver. If the liver is anterior in the screen closest to the transducer that fetus is cephalic if it were breech the stomach would be close to the transduceer or anterior in the screen i am talking about a fetus which is cephalic with the fetal spine to the left of the mother or the screen. If the fetus is longitudinal to the Right, meaning the fetus spine is potioned to the rigth of the screen or mother you will find the stomach anterior or closest to the transducer. I hope it help!!!! |
