Shadowing in Long Beach, CA

I am currently looking into going into ultrasound. I have been looking at Newbridge college, which is accredited. Very close to home. The cost is $32,000 year. My parents have agreed to help with the cost if I'm sure it's what I want to do, but I need a bit of hands-on before I enroll. Classes start in July so I really want to do a few weeks of shadowing as soon as possible. Any ideas where I can shadow or any other schools I might look into?

No its not accredited by CAAHEP! they lie. if its not on www.caahep.org dont waste your time and $$ you'll regret it. Good luck. I think the only one in that area is at OCC and five years ago the waiting list was 2 yrs. good luck

newbrigde is not accredited by ardms standards. they are not caahep accredited. after you comlete your program, you would still have to get one years work experience first before taking your test, unlike community colleges and universities, their programs qualify their students to take the rdms test immediately upon completion of their program. $32,000 is a bit much. A lot of the private schools hike up the price by extending the program length. Shop around, if you can get into a community college program.
