Starting salary in Miami, Fl for a new graduate Diagnostic Medical Sonography

I was wondering if anyone out there in Miami can tell me how much is the pay for a DMS coming right of an accredited school. (MDC)Anyone out there working at Baptist or South Miami Hospital? Thanks

I think you can check average salaries in your area on Monster.com. Im from NY, but I would think Miami would pay a lot because its a big city, right? (Like NY, NY)

If I'm not mistaken the starting pay is 20 to 21 dollars. Add 3 dollars if you work 2:30pm to 11pm. Add 4 dollars if you work 11pm to 7am

I'm taking pre-requisites at Miami Dade Collegue pursuing a career in Ultrasound Technology. I really like everything that is related to the medical field. But, a friend of mine have told me that is going to be difficult to get a job after graduation. Can anyone tell me something about it? Is it worth it to study sonography? Should I go for a different career?
