As a graduate of AIMT in 2011 I will say this. The teachers are dedicated and do care, but unfortunately that's not all it takes. I have my physics registry, an awesome resume, and was very driven to get a job. I even traveled and interviewed in other states, I was told by each and every HR lady that interviewed me that it could not happen without at least one registry, which I can't take until I work for a year... If you have a year to volunteer at a hospital full time, awesome go for it- then you'll be able to take the tests you need to get hired. I, and the majority of my classmates don't have that kind of financial flexibility. 3 out of the 22 in my class have gotten jobs, one of which was promised the job before she signed up for the school, and it's 9 months later... Still only 3 employed. Anyone responding to this post with comments on me not being a go-getter or trying hard enough- make judgements as you please but I know I worked my butt off at finding a job... even recruiting agencies would be discouraged to know I didn't have registries and tell me the chance was slim, I still tried, and all who interviewed me said no. I paid 20,500 to go to school here, and was told the program would get accredited and we'd be grandfathered in... Turns out they've been saying that to all the classes, even to a student who graduated in 05. I am now going to an actual school, accredited completely, to be an RN. |

Sounds like you're making a great career move. Here is some wisdom, "no matter how long you are employed, you owe it to yourself to mail out 3 resumes a month...and much more so, when unemployed." So, when you get to the otherside of (that) journey (RN), remember my advise and don't re-enroll in another school. (That will only make you looking like an excuse maker...where currently you do not look like one). Cheers |

Actually, our graduating class was 17 students and 6 of us are currently employed and you’re going back to school. The class isn’t doing that bad for being new grads, considering the economy, and the overall job market, the other “99 percenters” unemployed, and the current national protest. Some of our classmates aren’t looking for jobs, for various reasons, you know this; we all talk to each other.
Good Luck |

Looks like it's going good. People step up to complain 10 times faster than they do to applaud. Seems as if you have found what you're looking for, even if it was in a round about way. From what I've noticed at our location, the student body is night and day from what it use to be. |
