Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming unarmed security guard interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Here is the best tip, STAY AWAY FROM SECURITY unless you plan to be dirt poor forever.

The questions are stupid things like why do you want to be a guard, do you have a cell phone, car, are you willing to give your life 24/7 to this company.....

This job is only slightly better than collections

Really? this IS the easiest job ever. the only thing you have to do is observe and report. Most "guards" are fat as hell, sleeping, texting, watching tv or movies on their phones, or sitting in golf carts looking around. very few ever report anything and the reports are one maybe 2 lines.

The only time this job is difficult is if you happen to be executive protection or actively patrolling such as estate security.

This job is only good for a few extra bucks. Pay is crap, the companies do no care about the guards.

You are better off applying to be a TSO.

I am fully certed with security clearance....most I have been offered is 9 per hr with a side arm.......
