I need to list my desired salary on an application form. It appears that vet assistants in my area make anywhere from $16,000 to $30,000 per year with the average being around $25,000. Some of the advertised listings state $13-$16 per hour.

What should I list for desired salary? Should I actually put a range of like $16,000 to $30,000? Or should I just state negotiable? Or maybe I should put both. For me, I think what I want to make depends on the monthly costs of health insurance.
