Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming veterinary assistant interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Usually they will ask if your afraid of big dogs or big messes if you can handle it you should be fine. Also picking up dog poop is a big part of the job. I love My job! Good luck to you

I had many dogs and I am not afraid of big dogs, cats, horses or poop!

Lyn,
I think that you sound like you would be well qualified for a vet assistant job! I am currently in the process of interviewing for a vet assistant/receptionist position. Even if you could get in somewhere as a receptionist to start out & them undergo on the job training to be a vet assistant. Good luck! : )

I really would like to become a vet assistant with the idea down the road going to school to become a vet technician. I do not have experience. I plan to take continuing education this spring at my local community college to get a certifcate in a vet assistant program. I've also signed up to do volunteer work at the Humaine Society near me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It's a tough job market out there.
