Now, it's not like I doubt myself in completing the classes, I just need to know how difficult it is, because the more difficult it is, the more time I need to study and work. I plan on cutting my full time job if need be. Here is the list from the Foothill website: FIRST YEAR *
Winter Quarter (17.5 Units)
Spring Quarter (16.5 Units)
SECOND YEAR *
Winter Quarter (14.5 Units)
Spring Quarter (14.5 Units)

Wow! That is a lot of classes! But i think as long as they don't go too fast with the teaching and hopefully have tutors i'm sure you'll do great!! I, myself would love to be a vet tech. But first i'd love to go to school to become a vet assistant. I am as well nervous bout how hard the classes will be. And I will have to quit my full-time job cause the classes are only scheduled during the day unfortunately. When i do start the courses I hope I do real good on them. I plan to study very hard and i think it'll be easy to do seeing as I won't have a job. So i can use all my energy to focus on my dream job. Best of luck with you! |

hello, i am a vet tech student. the only school around here offering vet tech courses is brown mackie, right now that course is not accredated but they are working on it. it is a 2 yr course and it can get to be a lot of information to memorize but i think in the end it is all worth the hard work. it is not a field you would go into thinking oh this schooling is easy because in my opinon putting what you know to the animal is the easy party the hard part is retaining everything in the classes. good luck. |

Hi, I am a vet tech student.I am doing a four year program at cal poly pomona university. These classes are no joke, they are not easy and require several hours a week for studying. I quit my job for my last 2 years ,so I could focus strictly on my courses. If you have a job it is going to be extremely harder. I take about 17 to 20 units a quarter so I really dont have time to work even if I wanted to. It may seem like a lot of courses which I have to admit it is but it is worth it and it goes by pretty fast.I graduate next year in the winter.Good luck you can do it and just stay focus!! |

The classes can be difficult so just watch how many units you take, if you need help get in a study group or get a tutor. Simple as that. |

I am currently applying to the Foothill College Veterinary Technology program. I just finished all the prerequisites. I was thinking of transferring to Cal Poly Pomona to get my BS in Veterinary Technology after I complete the program. Does anyone know how long that would take? |
