How did you get your start doing welder work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

I started at the bottem and worked my way up.from helper to b pressure welder to foreman to super.I left the oilrigs to be a welder.I left a 22.00/hr job to be s helper at9.00/hr.And now make over 33.00/hr.As for education it helps in the blue print reading but in the end it all comes down to yourself and how far do you what to advance
