Weather in Albuquerque

What are the seasons like in Albuquerque? How do Albuquerque dwellers cope?

My family and I, are planning on moving to New Mexico in about 2 months or less, would like to know on weather,,,,I am a gardener and like flowers as well, want to know the seasons for planting gardens there and what kind of flowers or vegetables grow the best there.....and hopefully not alot of snow, trying to get away from the real minus below days and snow....anything you can tell me about it would be very helpful,,,like rain or snow falls,have any bad storms,(like tornadoes, that we have here,often)..love thunderstorms so not worried about them.
