Weather in Chico

What are the seasons like in Chico? How do Chico dwellers cope?

In the summer we dwell under the huge rocks from the foothill mountains. For many many days we must stay beneath the only area that can allow a cool atmosphere in the brutal summers of Chico.

In the Fall we come from under the rocks, get the kids started for school and carry on with our business. The orchard trees are gorgeous throughout the town.

In the Winter we don't get as much snow as Redding up North but occasionally a snow storm would appear for a day or two.

In the Spring we enjoy the flowers for the last few months before we start preparing for the onslaught of solar heat waves from the sun during the dreaded summer.
