I'm about to start my last year of a B.S. Physics program. I have an emphasis in medical physics and have been interning at the local Radiation Oncology cancer center as well as a mechanical engineering firm. My significant other is currently attending grad school in Cleveland, and I'm looking at relocating after I finish my degree, but I'm nervous to move without a job. I'm not entirely sure of the best way to search for an entry-level job several states away, or sure that I'd even get hired. I'm not looking for the highest-paying job or the loftiest title. In this economy, I will take what I can get, even if that means an internship for piddly pay as long as I can live off of it. I'm well aware of the competition, which is why I'm trying to start this process now. I have several months before I have to 'hit the pavement' but advice from insiders is greatly appreciated! |
