What causes do people in Corpus Christi care about. Where are the volunteer opportunities?

Bokenkamp Children's Shelter is a great charity to support. It is a temporary shelter for unaccompanied kids coming from Central & South America and who have been caught in the border areas of Texas. The children all speak Spanish, of course, but it is not necessary to speak Spanish to volunteer at this shelter. The kids love to have volunteers come in to do arts & crafts, teach them English, guitar, drums, and Bible. It is a Christian shelter but no child is under any pressure to attend the Christian activities held at the shelter.
Gifts of Kind and Monetary Gifts are always appreciated and very much needed.
