My daugher is in her mid 30's, has a 9 yr old daugher (my granddaugher) and is a convicted felon. This conviction was over 10 yrs ago. She cannot come back to Illinois. She faces the same restrictions that all felons face, can't find work, can't easily find an apartment in a good area ect.. She is stuck and is living with her abusive alcholic spouse (father of my granddaugher) She can find no way out of this situation because of her record. The nature of her felony prevents her from coming back.
Are there any programs or services for women with children who need to break the cycle she is in? She doesn't have a car and lives in Ft Worth. She wants a good homelife for herself and her daugher but this is not possible living with this man. She stays because he pays the bills but that is all. Any help out there for her?
