Try looking for a company called akran, they have a large base located in Houston Texas(I think thats how the company is spelled), my best friend works there and he tells me that they are in need of experienced NDT employees.

It's Acuren, they are a very large NDT contractor. They have bought up other NDT companies out there.

I just recently recieved my ndt certs and I'm ready to work anybody got an heads up on who's hiring level ones or entry level techs.

I am an NDT inspector certified in Pt;Mt;and Ut,levels I and II seeking copys of test questions and answers for pre-hire examinations for all three and both I and II levels

Does anyone know of any work in welding or inpection. I have been a Pipe Welder for 10yrs and currently have certs. for AWS CWI, CPWI, ASNT Visual Level II, and Oklahoma Steam Card. I have recently got my CWI certs. and would like to get started in inpection.

If you're looking for turnaround work check out Team Industrial Services. I work for a different company, but they have been sending me emails looking for 20 something RT hands for upcoming turnarounds. It's contract work, but i hope that helps. They have an ad on www.inspectionjobs.com. Good Luck

MY husband and I are both Level 2 inspectors and are looking for work overseas. We are particularly interested in one year contracts. We have passports and would be interested in changing companies also.

If you are looking for work overseas I would check out www.ndtcareers.com. Almost all of the jobs posted there are for overseas work. Also NDTcabin.com has a lot of overseas listings mostly for the Great Britain area. Most of these jobs require PCN Level II certs instead of ASNT. I'm not sure what you would need to do to certify as a PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) level II, but I would assume all of your training hours and ojt would carry over. You will probably just have to retest and maybe take a few more classroom hours depending on what they require. If you are currently working to snt-tc-1a then you probably have 12 hours of PT I/II classroom and 20 hours in MT and so on. If they require more training hours then you may need more classroom training, but I'm really not sure. Hope i helped out a bit. You also might want to look into nuke ndt work if you have a clean background. You will only work 6 months out of the year, but you will make a years salary in those six months. That would be very good for a man and wife team i would think. You could work nuclear outages together. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to try and help if I can. Ive been told my admissions rep that that'd fact that I had a felony would not stop me from finding work rightaway. I'm talking to various people hat say it hard to find work in Houston with a felony record. I'm also not against travel and or relocation as long as its covered or some type of housing is provided in the beginning.

OMG. !!!!!!!! I just got fired for so say falsifying my application. I put my past problems on my application. I was honest, and after 6months they fired me. I'm a felon that is going through school at ocean corporation. I need work ,preferrably in the field of which I am learning. Anybody know of a job.

I graduated from the Ocean Corporation December 2008 and have yet to find an entry-level NDT position. I am trying to get my foot in the door and cannot seem to find ANY entry-level positions. PLEASE HELP!

You may try Team..they need a couple people in Freeport but I don't know what level. Good luck to you.

That would be great. Are you in houston? I just wished that I had more info. of the NDT program and how a person is able to advance in the career. What is the payscale and is there possible advancements?
