I am currently looking for a job opportunity that will offer second chances to someone with a felony here in Houston, TX. I hold previous forklift experience and not afraid of hard work.

Just looking for an opportunity to show that I am a productive citizen to society. If anyone knows of a place that is hiring please let me know.

Call your local unemployment office and see if they offer job fair for felons, This is where companies that will hire someone with a record come into that job fair, and only companies willing to give a Second Chance can attend.
Also wfor those who are not convicted felon but have misdemeanors. Write your local state reps as the Second Chance is a federal law for felons only. Try to get a state law passed.
I have now record of any kind but am working to have State laws changed in Iowa.
Do a search under felons and read the info I have posted. Hopefully it will help you in some way.

I am also a Texas A&M Graduate and it seems so difficult to land a job as estimator, project engineer or etc in the construction management field. I know the idustry was devastated by the recession however I am still having a difficult time getting passed the gate keepers the secretary's. I have sent out 100's of resumes before I graduated and still I'm unemployed. I am looking to work for a reputable contractor such as satterfield and pontikes or Tellepsen.
