I was recently working with Halliburton Energy. I was in wireline perforating team, I have knowlege in ignitors and blasting caps and detonators. worked with engineers and Mentors. Build Baker-10 and Baker-20 for Perforating Guns. I am Used of working very hard and long hours and I work well with Managers and co-workers. I would like to work on a oil rig to excell my full potential in the oil world and become a leader.

I have been in the oil and gas drilling for 30 plus years as a driller and right now there is NO JOBS right now and there are many looking for the same things your looking for, A JOB on a oilfield drilling rig with experience. I have been looking for a drilling job for dam near a year now and have not got a drilling job yet and I am a driller and worked all over the world so if I was you I would not get in the oilfields right now. I hear that things will pick up in the 4th quarter. Bad news is Baker and Schlumberger have laid off in the past week. Some other un-named company hired a couple of techs through a staffing agency in the past week and there was more than 100 applicants for each job. So It's probably the same thing or maybe worse with rig jobs. When it starts going again I am sure that it will boom as before. I went through this before in 1982 and I moved to another state and found a job for a while then came back when things were going again. The problem now is that there is no where any better to go. It's hard to find any kind of a job unless you are an exact match because there are exact matches applying for all jobs also. There are lots of people with 4yr degree's looking for work also. I would settle for a low paying job for now but it seems that I am over qualified. A person probably gets branded by working in oil exploration. The employers in other electronics and related fields won't hire you because if they can't offer good wages they know you will jump ship when things boom again.
