How is the commute to/from Antioch-Livermore Ca? Is there much of a fog issue in the winter?
Thank you.

Hi, I have lived here all my life which is almost 1/2 a century. There's hardly any fog between Antioch and Livermore/Tri-Valley. Most of the fog is due well east of Livermore, closer to the San Joaquin Valley,Modesto & Fresno. But, give yourself at least 1/2 hour for commute because of traffic! Try to avoid 580 freeway by going on Vasco Rd. 580 is one of the worst commutes in the country. If you are working at the Lab (LLNL) you can go thru town and avoid freeways, but unfortunatly the most direct way from Antioch to Livermore is Vasco Rd. Many have moved to Antioch because of cheaper housing compared to Tri-Valley(Livermore,Pleasanton< Dublin) Also check out Moutain House as alternative to Antioch. Its actually closer and maybe cheaper than Antioch. It was suppose to become a "new" town by itself, but is still consider Tracy,Ca. The oldest homes in Mountain House are approx. 5 yrs. old ACE commuter train goes right into Livermore. Its a terrific way to commute!! Good Luck P.S. You'll love the weather here. We plant flowers in Feb. and can get to 70 degrees even during winter w/o any humidity.
