I am finding that although I am in my 50's and have a great Nursing back ground (and many useful skills, I'm bilingual - Spanish) because I have an obviouse weight issue and might vaguely look like I walk in pain I am not getting second looks for interviews if I am doing face to faces's.
I can have several interviews over the phone with variouse levels of management in a company and then come in for one last interview face to face. Then I get that letter of disappointment saying the position is filled. Several I know were not filled in truth.
I am a very up-beat person and actually cause people to laugh in my interviews and it seems like we are all on the same page. Then I wonder if I need one of those make over things: new hair do (possibly a wig), carving the extra skin and what's left of the fat off, and a re-do of my birth certificate to a more recent birthdate.
NOW, after that tirade, anyone have similar experiences, comments, helpful information.
