I am in Livingston, NJ I was looking for airport information in the New York area for my sister who is flying in and ran across http://411newyork.org/

It is a great site and wanted to know if there any other like this.

You missed my point I believe. I meant to indicate that you can type 411 followed by the name of any decent size city in the US and get the same sort of website for that area.

Obviously the person is not very internet savvy if she is crazy enough to post her name and location on the internet and she is very dumb if this is the first time she has heard of a 411 type service website.

My favorite is the reverse number lookups and the "list neighbors" searches. I once got a Christmas present delivered to my home by mistake. I went to the address it was meant for and the home was abandoned. I did a search and called the sender who was not home for several days. I did another search and asked for neighbors and called the person who lives across the street from the sender. The neighbor told me they were out of town for a few weeks.

Now had I been a nefarious character, I could have gone to the sender's home and ransacked the place just because of the stupidity of people not having the sense to protect their information nor their neighbors'.

I could probably locate the phone number of the original poster here and call her if I liked. Livingston isn't that big a place. You can get Indeed to erase her private information but the Google bot will keep displaying it for a very long time - years, in the cache form. And you think it is funny?

Absolutely. In fact, just so I could be sure the reference wasn't bogus I DID google 411 before writing and the first 20 pages were basically such websites.

Google "411recruitment" and you will find a place to get the phone numbers of all the recruiters in Tampa. Well the ones that are listed anyway. :)

Interestingly enough a google search of your name and company name only shows the profile here on indeed so you are smart and safe I'd say.
