commuting from corona and riverside to orange county is hell. there is basically only one freeway (the 91 riverside freeway) and its bottlenecked for a good 2 hours each morning and evening. And if there's an accident, add another hour. Long Beach, surprisingly is not a bad commute to Orange County. Several freeways and major roads go there BUT it costs more to live there and some of the neigbhorhoods are pretty edgy or downright scarry. A great alternative is to live in the citys of Tustin or Orange centrally located on Orange county or Costa Mesa which is near Irvine but much more affordable. Good luck. Southern California is great if you know your way around.
