I just bought my house at torino subdivision, the NW corner of PSL. I searched all over, and seem Torino is mostly newer homes and holds the value better. Other area are a mixture of old and new homes, something I did not like when I did house hunting. |

Tradition is nice and they have a lot of affordable homes since the housing crisis. It is located right near Torrey Pines. Has nice shops, restaurants and is a much newer area. Eastlake Village is lovely and is located near the mall off U.S. 1. Saint Lucie West , Lake Charles area is beautiful. There are many nice homes in the Morningside area that are nice located on the South side of Saint Lucie Blvd. |

p.s. I live here year round and have been in Florida for 25 years. I much prefer Orlando to Port Saint Lucie. It all depends on what you like. This is the tip of the South Florida experience. Having lived in West Palm and Orlando for 18years, and now Saint Lucie, I have a good idea of the State. If you like the tropical stuff, this might be a good area for you. There is not much for children to do here. They have the movies and superplay but that is about it. The nice malls are in Jupiter, Orlando and south, not here. If you have money, you will do alright. There is a big influx of retirees here. So if you are in that category, you will love it here. If you are younger and have children, I suggest you do your homework before coming here. I have been here for the last 3 years and it is not for me. I am looking for jobs in the northern part of the state, so I can get out of here. Orlando is on my list, as is Jacksonville and the Saint Augustine area. I hope this helps you with your search. Don't want to discourage you, just want to be truthful. |
