Please stay where you are and find a job there. There are no decent jobs in Raleigh and the crappy ones are taken by illegal immigrants. I don't intend to sound so negative, but the situation is what it is. This area has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country (now over 11% and rising)and it's only getting worse.
