Hello,

My husband accepted a job in Sanford, NC so I am in the process of getting barred in N.C. I am also barred in VA, MD, and DC but I am prepared for the fact that my salary will nearly be cut in half by this move. Anyway, I have done criminal defense but have currently practiced as a prosecutor for the past 12 years. Although I'd prefer getting out of the courtroom as often, I don't mind continuing in the criminal field or even one day soon hanging a shingle.

Can anyone offer any insight on the state of the legal job field in the area? Do many folks commute to Charlotte from Raleigh?
